Les plaines sur Cravant les Coteaux

Renaissance

A brilliant wine with fine tannins that perfectly reflect the terroir of Cravant les Coteaux. A fruity and easy-drinking vintage.

  • Terroir: Gravels and alluviums mixed on a clay-siliceous subsoil
  • Grape Variety: Cabernet Franc
  • Vinification: Manual harvest with careful selection. Spontaneous fermentation of the musts thanks to indigenous yeasts. Maceration for 20 days. Cabernet Franc is vinified in raw concrete truncated cone tanks.
  • Character: The lovely red robe with cherry reflections is tinged with a touch of golden. The initial, fine, and discreet nose opens with notes of strawberry jam and quickly evolves towards aromas of ripe plum, cinnamon, and gingerbread. The palate, with a soft and round attack, is extended by the elegance of young and firm tannins in the finish. The beautiful overall balance of this wine is delicately underlined by notes of Morello cherries and plum.

A pleasurable wine that pairs perfectly with a charcuterie platter, grilled meats, Touraine goat cheese, homemade roasted poultry, or even cod fillet.

Raisins issus du « Clos La Niverdière »

Palimpseste

Palimpseste is the cuvée made exclusively with grapes from the “Clos La Niverdière” in Beaumont en Véron.

  • Terroir: “Terres douces,” a blend of limestone sands and limestone colluviums, a not very deep horizon, and a subsoil of white and yellow tufa.
  • Grape Variety: Cabernet Franc
  • Vinification: Manual harvest with careful selection. Spontaneous fermentation of the musts thanks to indigenous yeasts. Maceration for 20 days. Cabernet Franc is vinified in raw concrete truncated cone tanks.
  • Character: The young vines of Clos produce an enjoyable wine with notes of raspberry, red currant, and blackcurrant. This fruity character, very typical of the “Terres douces” of Beaumont-en-Véron for these young vines with a beginning of rooting in the mother rock, ultimately gives it well-melted and powerful tannins without being too firm and chalky.

It is an expression of a smooth and playful Chinon Rouge, characteristic of limestone sand soils. A wine to be enjoyed immediately but will be even better after a few years of aging.

Mi-coteaux sur Cravant-les-Coteaux

Résilience

A deep color and powerful tannins characteristic of the Cravant clay-limestone soils. A wine for aging.

  • Terroir: Clay-limestone
  • Grape Variety: Cabernet Franc
  • Vinification: Manual harvest with careful selection. Spontaneous fermentation of the musts thanks to indigenous yeasts. Maceration for 20 days. Cabernet Franc is vinified in raw concrete truncated cone tanks.
  • Character: Elegant deep ruby red robe with subtle hints of Havana. The initial open and complex nose unfolds with notes of blackcurrant buds and extends to aromas of fresh fig, licorice, anise, and prunes. The palate is marked by a rich, tannic, and round attack, confirmed by the presence of dense and powerful tannins. The mouthfeel confirms this sensation with hints of roasted notes and cooked fruits.

A wine for aging that will elegantly accompany sauced dishes or a cheese platter.
